Found some nice Oppo toys in Mandarake Complex in Akihabara, which is an area known as   kind of manga/anime/o taku central.

I’m traveling relatively light, with only a carry -on suitcase, so no space to bring any or I might have. They are asking like $40-50 bucks for even some of the small cars though.

I bought a Minichamps 1/43 E92 M3 from a shop in  Akihabara that should be arriving this week.

I can’t wait to go one day.

back when I went there it was “electric town” with electronics and computer hardware shops everywhere.  there was even a site called PCWatch.jp (or something like that) which would go around and see which shops had the latest hardware and what prices they were listing.

The Loft and Tokyu Hands sometimes have some cool ones too, and art supplies you don’t see at home . Akihabara is mostly what I think of for electronics.

Walked a bit through Tokyo Hands in Shibuya, confusing layout in there :). To be honest, I enjoyed the Mega Don Quijote over there a lot because of its wackiness.

Is that one of the ones with a million floors but each floor is tiny and has high shelves full to the ceiling? I’ve been in one or two there and then we have one in Honolulu.

The Don Quijote? Yeah, it was like 6-7 floors and all small aisles with all kinds of stuff. Different commercial and jingles playing in each aisle, screaming for your attention. Madhouse but felt very Japanese.
